i'm an athletic writer & fervent teacher concocting ways to write while in motion. continuum movement has been my practice almost since arriving in vancouver in 1996. it helps me openly attend my body's inner sensation, allows me to recognise stillness in motion, movement in stillness.
movement is evidence of creativity - where it's present, fear can't abide.

i taught the language of living for 15 years when i lived in belgium and france, an experience that expanded both my ear and heart.
i was in the first writer's studio at sfu, on the editorial collective of milieu which brought out portfolio milieu 2004 and co-facilitated a monthly artist gathering, milieu salon. i co-created & co-hosted the storytelling show on co-op radio.
currently i teach in continuuing studies at the universities of emily carr & simon fraser, and in my home in east vancouver.
To regret one's own experiences is to arrest one's own development. To deny one's own experiences is to put a lie into the lips of one's own life. It is no less than a denial of the soul.
